Auto Company SGC
Shammout Group became one of the leading car importers in Syria. It imported 22,000 cars during the last 14 years (trucks and passenger cars). SGC is the accredited agent of the Chinese motor company Dong Feng which produces pick up trucks. There were record sales in 2004-2005 where 3,100 passenger cars and 2,300 commercial vehicles were imported.

In addition to its 250 square meter head office in Damascus, the company owns the following:

•  700 m2 showroom in Damascus.
•  1400 m2 showroom in Hama.
•  350 m2 auto service center in Damascus.
•  1500 m2 warehouse in Tartous Free Zone.
• 1000 m2 warehouse in Adra Free Zone.

Cars are imported through:

• Neighboring countries.
• Directly from Korea.
• Free Zone via other accredited agents.

Sale and distribution of imported cars is done through the company's direct-sale showrooms or by wholesale to auto showrooms and car dealers in all Syrian governorates.
